There has only been one player named Alan Ogg in NBA history.
Alan Ogg was born on December 3, 1967, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He played college basketball at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from 1986 to 1990. During his college career, Ogg was known for his size and strength, standing at 7 feet tall and weighing over 250 pounds.
In 1990, Ogg declared for the NBA draft and was selected in the second round, 35th overall, by the Miami Heat. He played for the Heat for two seasons from 1990 to 1992, averaging 4.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
After his stint with the Heat, Ogg played one season with the Charlotte Hornets in 1992-1993, where he averaged 2.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. He then played for the Grand Rapids Hoops in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) before playing professionally overseas in Japan, the Philippines, and France.
Ogg's NBA career was relatively short, but he will always be remembered for his impressive size and strength on the court. Despite not having a standout career, he was able to play professional basketball for several years in various leagues around the world.
Off the court, not much is known about Ogg's personal life after his playing days were over. He has largely remained out of the public eye and has not been involved in any high-profile endeavors.
