Miles played college basketball at the University of Kansas where he was a four-year starter and became the all-time leader in assists and steals for the Jayhawks. After going undrafted in the 2005 NBA draft, Miles signed a contract with the Warriors but only played in 19 games, averaging 1.1 points and 1.0 assists per game. Miles went on to play in various professional basketball leagues around the world, including the NBA G League, Europe, Asia, and South America. In 2017, Miles retired from playing professional basketball and began his coaching career. He started as an assistant coach at Florida Gulf Coast University before being hired as the head coach at Fort Hays State University in Kansas in 2019.
2. Aaron Miles (born August 13, 1986) is a retired American basketball player who played for the Indiana Pacers during the 2008-2009 NBA season. Miles played college basketball at the University of Kansas and was a teammate of the previously mentioned Aaron Miles during the 2002-2003 season. Miles was known for his passing and defensive skills and was a two-time Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. After going undrafted in the 2005 NBA draft, Miles played overseas for several years before signing with the Golden State Warriors in 2008. He was then traded to the Pacers and played in 11 games, averaging 2.1 points and 1.1 assists per game. Miles went on to play in various professional basketball leagues around the world, including the NBA G League, Europe, and Asia. He retired from playing professional basketball in 2017 and began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Florida Gulf Coast University. Miles was later hired as an assistant coach for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, in 2018.
