Alex English played in the NBA from 1976 to 1991 and he retired from the NBA around 22 years ago. Although it's been a long time, his achievement on NBA still  worth remembering. Alex English was born on January 5, 1954, in Columbia, South Carolina, and attended the University of South Carolina. As an American professional basketball player, he played for several teams during his career, including the Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, and Phoenix Suns. 

English was named to the NBA All-Star team eight times and was a three-time All-NBA First Team selection. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1997 in recognition of his outstanding career. English is best known for his time with the Denver Nuggets, where he played for ten seasons and was a member of the high-scoring "Run TMC" teams of the 1980s. He was a prolific scorer and averaged over 20 points per game for nine consecutive seasons, including a career-high 28.4 points per game in the 1982-83 season. He was also a skilled rebounder, averaging 5.5 rebounds per game over his career.

After retiring from basketball, English worked as a color commentator for the Nuggets and also worked in various coaching and management roles in the NBA. He has also been involved in philanthropic work, including founding the Alex English Foundation to provide support and resources to underserved communities in South Carolina.
