Allan Bristow was a small forward who played in the NBA from 1973 to 1983. He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2nd round of the 1973 NBA draft and played for several teams throughout his career, including the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, and San Antonio Spurs. After retiring from playing, Bristow went on to have a successful career as a coach and executive in the NBA.
Allan Bristow was known as a hard-working and scrappy player during his career. He was a solid role player who was valued for his hustle, defense, and rebounding ability. One of Bristow's best seasons statistically came in the 1977-78 season, when he played for the Denver Nuggets. That season, he averaged 15.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 48.2% from the field and 87.5% from the free-throw line. He also helped lead the Nuggets to the playoffs that season, where they advanced to the second round before being eliminated.
While Bristow may not have had any particularly standout individual performances during his playing career, he was a reliable and hardworking player who was valued for his contributions to his team. His career is notable not for any one specific moment, but for his consistent effort and contributions over the course of his ten-year NBA career.
